The Habs announced today that with 9,827 fan votes, Carey Price has been selected as the Molson Cup winner for the month of November. This will be a second consecutive win for Price who was also the recipient of Molson Cup for the month of October. Price finished ahead of teammates Brian Gionta and Tomas Plekanec to earn the honor. He was selected as the first star of the game on four different occasions; second star on four different occasions and was twice selected as the third star of the game. It's noteworthy that Price earned at least one of the three stars in 10 of the 12 games he played this month.
Price posted an 8-4-0 record in 12 games in November and maintained a superb 1.59 GAA with a save percentage of .952. His stats show remarkable improvement compared to the month of October where he had a 2.38 GAA and a save percentage of .912 in 10 games. In addition, Price also recorded three shutouts against Vancouver, Philadelphia and Toronto. He was also named as the NHL first star for the week ending on November 14. He has been a pillar between the pipes and has been one of the main reasons for the Habs' success this season.
Price will be presented with the Molson cup on December 1st during a pre-game ceremony against the Edmonton Oilers at the Bell Center.
